[Preface]:To Mountains, Where My Soul Belongs: Uttrakhand|Kausani|Bageshwar|Munsyari

What it takes to realize everything is fine around
you?
A solo trip to the mountains, where your soul dwells
in the echoes of the winds that carry fragments of clouds with them.
What it takes to realize world is going back to chaos
and infinite hurry?
End of the aforementioned road trip.
What happens when you are working full time to a
corporate and getting a paycheque at 1st of every month, and ask
your manager for a week’s worth of leaves for a vacation. You manager, at their
polite best, would tell “Sorry, you can’t get a weeks’ leave just for some road
trip. I would have approved if you were sick or there was some family
emergency.”
Certainly, you can’t get a leave unless you are dying.
This struggle is real. While you have to work till your
senses start to die only to pay the bills, there are short bursts of happiness
when you get a day or two as “extended weekend” and you start making plans to
take a trip to the places you always loved. But, you often end up with people
you have social obligations to, in some clubs or aimless wandering at brightly
lit malls.
“Where it all went wrong?” you often think and wonder
where the time has gone by. In no time you are ten more years older and never
made it to any of the trips you thought you would.
Hence, you must take a moment from the hustle of life and
think if you were born just to pay the bills or is there something that you can
do for yourself. It’s the moment when you have to grab everything that you can
for memories that stays beyond the eight-by-eight cubicle and twenty-four-inch
iMac screen of your desktop. It’s the
moment when you must realize the real self can only be discovered by
experiencing what’s new and what’s unexplored before.
This is what I learned from my recent solo backpacking trip.
Although, I have taken a number of solo trips earlier, but there were all on
bike and were little less for soul searching than just get away from the phoney
world around. This trip brought a realization to explore
many different aspects of life in lands of the mind and find people who
share this idea. The fascination of the world around, and that I actually fall
in love with everything I never knew before. Every moment became a new
destination which is not just a “checked in” of Facebook, every photograph is
not a bragging right of the pockets I have. It also, brought me to find people
who have realized it earlier and are travelling to places where souls are
dwelling for peace and happiness.

This is a good subject to talk about. Sometimes I fav stuff like this on Reddit. I don't think this would be the best to submit though. I'll look around and find another article that may work.
